The New York Auto Show, one of the biggest international auto extravaganza, this year marks the entry of some of the classy and top range models to be premiered in 2011. Few electrifying names include, all-new 2011 Kia Sportage, 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon, 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, 2011 Hyundai Sonata, 2011 Infiniti QX56, and the 2011 Mercedes-Benz R-class. With added features, the Kia Sportage model almost took the show. After making a successful debut at Geneva, this ultra model has now been introduced to the US market with two engine option is all set to rule the roads.

Subaru Outback at New York auto show

Larger than the previous Outback, the 2010 Subaru Outback goes along the lead of the 2010 Subaru Legacy. The Outback that has been unveiled at the New York auto show and is scheduled to go on sale in August will be available with Subaru’s true crossover, Tribeca.

The Subaru Outback would get 256-horsepower 3.6-liter flat-6. Besides, the Outback will ride on a wheelbase more or less alike to the Tribeca’s. The Outback has been built on a new platform as the 2010 Legacy; however, the Outback is 2 inches wider across the shoulders and has a 107.9-inch wheelbase. The results are that there is a substantial increase in the front hiproom, rear shoulder room and rear legroom.

Overall passenger volume has been increased from 8 cubic feet to 105.4. The enlarged cargo room is supported by a new double-wishbone rear suspension. If you still need room to put away your stuffs on the roof, then you can enjoy the benefits of the new roof rack of the Outback that has fold-away crossbars.

Acura ZDX Concept at New York Auto Show 2009

Acura ZDX 3 

The world got a chance to see the prototype of the Acura ZDX for the first time as it was unveiled at the New York auto show. It is a great mix of a sports coupe and a sports-utility. This amazing car has been designed by Michelle Christensen. Jeff Conrad who is the vice president of sales for Acura is of the opinion that the mix of sports coupe and sports utility has given the ZDX the opportunity to create a brand new segment altogether and would attract new customers. According to him, it is a luxury performance coupe. Although the previous version looked a little truck-like, the ZDX looks mostly like a sedan. The roof which has a slope rally looks spectacular and its tinted glasses and the rear valance panel and taillights are amazingly blended and are almost seamless.
