Tokyo Motor Show 2009 set to draw rave reviews

tms-1The Tokyo Motor Show that officially begun from October 24 is making the headlines with some of the major automakers making a few announcements and unveiling at the largest auto event of the East. Carmakers like Suzuki, Honda and Mitsubishi have shown what is in store from them already. Suzuki has three concept cars lined up which include the Alto which is a mini, a hybrid of the Swift and the latest version of the SX4-FCV, which was launched in 2008. The Swift has a battery range of 12 miles and gets its power from the 660cc engine. The SX4-FCV has the 80kW GM fuel cell stack which would soon hit the production factory.

Nissan all set to display its electric car at Tokyo Motor Show

The Japanese automaker giant Nissan is all set to unveil its new concept vehicle at the Tokyo Motor Show, which starts October 23. Known as the “Land Glider”, the vehicle is a light weight electric car which has a narrow body. The car would be set at the designer centre of the company for a preview before the motor show. The unique thing about this concept car is that it can lean its body just like a motorcycle to shift the centre of gravity.
