Developed by one of the biggest names in the U.S. auto industry, this Chevrolet Sonic is not just a spectacular compact car but also a vehicle that is capable of achieving of flight through a radio controlled remote.

Filled with helium, this new car has been carefully designed to prevent any leakage in order to protect the environment. This flight capable car can carry neutral buoyancy and is formed with very lightweight foam. This flying car has five six cubic meters of helium and is powered by electric engines.

This car is made from carbon fiber and is directly connected to the battery pack along with the control systems for the Sonic.

This time, more than 850,000 people are expected to attend this show to check out the latest car models debuting in the automobile world. Many carmakers are focusing on economical and efficient modes of transportation this time in this show.

Some of the interesting car concepts worth checking out at Frankfurt Auto Show 2011 are BMW i8 Concept that will be fitted with a 223 horsepower three cylinder engine. Then, there will be Opel Astra GTC that is expected to make buyers crazy with its compact size. Hyundai i30 is another five door concept car debuting this time in this show.

In order to develop the beautiful design of Maserati Kubang SUV, the company came inc collaboration with the parent company, Fiat and Chrysler Jeep. From designs to engineering aspects, Maserati Kubang SUV has got inspiration from Fiat and Chrysler Jeep.

Featuring a 4.7 liter V8 engine, Maserati Kubang SUV boasts of an eight speed transmission that has been especially developed by Maserati. This amazing SUV car has been manufactured by the same factory workers who are engaged in producing Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos.

Till now, no specific details of the launch and price of Maserati Kubang SUV have been revealed.

This beautiful Volkswagen Beetle Concept has been especially designed and developed keeping the global factors in mind. Featuring 20 inch “Talladega” alloy wheels that can be seen in VW Golf R and VW Scirocco R, this car is packed with ultimate technologies and functions.

Ensuring that this vehicle has ultimate style and comfort level, Volkswagen gave its wider bumpers and exhaust vents to bring enhanced aerodynamic properties. Powered by a 2 liter TSI four cylinder engine, Volkswagen Beetle Concept also boasts of a Haldex 4Motion all wheel drive system.

On the other hand, this new car also comes adorned with black Nappa leather and carries the ‘R’ logo. Incorporating the brushed aluminum pedal caps and R-logo door with a reflection of the ‘R’ style statement, this car is worth a peep at the upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.

Delivering the drive torque to the rear wheels, the new Fiat Freemont AWD car can also detect a slippery ground with its sensors. It also minimizes the waste of fuel with its special features. Featuring a 19-inch light wheel and a navigation system with a 8.4” touch screen, this car will come equipped with rear camera and chrome roof rails.

Another cool thing about Fiat Freemont AWD car is that the torque in it is transferred according to the ground conditions between 40 and 105 km/h. It can automatically address the torque to the rear wheels while driving on a curve all of a sudden. Such are the amazing features of this car that will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfirt Auto Motor Show.

Backed with a dynamic goodness of ultimate technologies, this car will be up for display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. This car will be an uprated version of 2-0-litre turbo that is already running on roads. This car model will be able to produce 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft torque.

Volkswagen is also thinking to build a Beetle R Cabriolet after the receiving the success of the new Beetle R model. Moreover, the company has also confirmed that it will sell a TDI diesel powered Beetle convertible in North America very soon. This new car is expected to offer significantly more chutzpah to the passengers.

Created as a muscle model, this car is being designed by Touring Superleggera, the Italian designer. The car was manufactured with the aim of offering more space and comfort to the users. In addition, the noise level of the car is also less while driving. However, the main attraction of the car, which is its high-performance remain unaffected.

As far as design of the car is concerned, the car body is as usual nicely designed with the help of designers from Milan. The doors are designed with German door designer’s gull-wing with such an opening that makes it easy for passenger access. Moreover, the tailgate also opens in butterfly style for wide and trouble-free access.

The car is 4.47 mt. in length and 1.97 in width with a 2.7 mt. wheelbase. The speed limit of the car is stated to be 300 km/h with a 700 hp turbo. Automatic transmission combines the engine with brake system of 378 mm.

The company declared that the car would be available in 2012 with a new engine. However, pricing of the car is not been revealed as yet. 

The price range for the new convertible is fixed at US$ 27,195 for the base 200 Convertible Touring model, whereas the 200 Convertible limited is priced at US$ 31,990. The 200 Convertible S, the third variant of the car is yet not priced and is expected to be priced soon.

The various features of the Chrysler 200 Convertible include improved suspension, modified interior, and use of new sheet metal. Others like the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 and automatic transmission of six-speed along with a base engine of 2.4-liter four-cylinder are interesting enough to attract car enthusiasts in the market.

With so many interesting features and a great look, 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible is sure to have a great opening and a huge market. 

The LA Auto Show was first showcased in the year 1907 with barely 99 cars on display and the venue at that time was the Skating Rink of Morley. Later, with the growth of the Show, the venue also kept changing to accommodate new vendors and their needs.

All this while, the Los Angeles Auto Show saw many ups and downs in their good and bad phases. Over time, the show also changed its name. It was known as the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, which became the LA Auto Show. The dates of the show were moved to its current dates in 2006 from its earlier date of early January. Thereby, year 2006 saw two LA auto shows and also marked their 100-year anniversary in the second show.

The last edition of the show was held between November 19 and November 28, 2010 and received great reviews. The participants of last year included GM, Honda, Maybach, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Smart, Toyota, Volvo, Chevrolet, Ford, Hyundai, and so on.

Though, concept sketches can not be always relied upon, however, the sketch clearly shows the standard that the company wants to attain. With the set of unique headlights, the emphasis was on having a sporty look of the car. Moreover, from front to rear, the beltline also portrays Honda’s suggestive design.

The sketch also depicts a glass like roof, which is notable enough. Though not clear but it is expected that a glass roof might be an option given by the company. The size of the wheels was of normal-size unlike most concept sketches where they portray oversized wheels.

The Civic concept is going to be showcased at 2011 Detroit auto show in beginning of January and is restyled greatly. It is generally expected out of Honda to show concepts that more or less looks like the production cars.
