2012 BMW ActiveHybrid 5 is believed to be based on the 535i sedan

2012_bmw_5_activehybrid-1 Recently, BMW, the famous car automobile maker, revealed the pictures and specifications of its new 535i 2012 BMW ActiveHybrid car. It is believed that this new innovative car has been developed on the basis of the 535 version. BMW, the German firm is about to decide on killing the hybrid version of the X6 because there is no demand for the 480 horsepower V8 hybrid.

Featuring the TwinPower turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine and an electric drive system with an eight speed automatic transmission, 2012 BMW ActiveHybrid 5 car has a motor that can perform as a generator to recharge batteries during braking and while returning this power to the electric unit when required.

Renault’s Latitude Sedan debuts at 2010 Moscow Auto Show

This year’s Moscow Auto Show saw the unveiling of the latest sedan from Renault, the Latitude. Renault plans to sell this car in over 50 markets across the globe, which includes a number of Western European markets. Renault has seen some tough times in the midsize car segment and with the Latitude it hopes to regain its position at the top of this market. Renault’s share of the midsize car segment has gone down significantly and this was mainly because of the massive failure of the Passat-size Laguna. It has not even been able to hit the 50% mark in terms of sales.

2011 Peugeot 508 Sedan

The new Peugeot 508 will replace the previous large family car Peugeot 407 and is termed as the future family car. It will also replace the Peugeot 607, which is even larger. This is because there are no immediate plans for replacing this car with a similar one, so the Peugeot 508 will have to fill its shoes for the time being.

Tesla Targets Broader Audience With Electric Sedan

Telsa Sedan It’s now known everyone that we will soon get some new electric cars to drive and Tesla Motors Inc. has recently unveiled its newest and lowest cost electric car called Electric Sedan. With this car, Tesla, expands its sedan family of cars. This new car will be produced in the third quarter of 2011.

The new Tesla Sedan S model with four-doors will be available in $49,000 after a U.S. government tax credit for electric vehicles that will be of $7,500. This car model is slated to be produced in Southern California.

Tesla’s Model S price is comparable to $35,000 gasoline powered car like 2010 Ford Taurus after including the cost of refueling. The billionaire founder of PayPal, Musk feels that Model S car is the first highway-ready electric vehicle designed for the audiences that look for an affordable electric vehicle.

It is assumed that with the launch of the new Model S Electric Sedan car, Tesla is planning to achieve the annual car rate of 20,000 in its production. Tesla’s announcement of this car has in a way motivated other carmakers to produce new affordable all-electric vehicles.
