Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

This car looks very intense and at the same time edgy. The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento has been designed in a way to display the prowess of the Italian auto giants. Made of extremely light weight material, this car is very light but still manages to offer 570 hp.

Lotus Esprit

This car is perfectly made for today’s iPad generation and it is simply beautiful. The only problem is that it will not arrive in the US before 2013.

Audi Quattro Concept

It is in many ways an extension of Audi previous models but comes with a number of additional features that makes this car a real winner.

Taking the lead is Renault, which had earlier announced its plan to sell 200,000 EVS annually over a period of six years, will launch several of its electric vehicles which are slated to go on sale sometime next year.

Nissan which is also Renault’s Japanese partner will introduce its Leaf electric vehicle in the Canadian market next year and in addition to that will display its concept called the Townpod in the Paris auto show.

It is Mercedes Benz that everyone will have an eye on and there is a great deal of excitement about its latest CLS four door coupe. In addition to this the German carmaker will also showcase the electric version of its highly successful Europe, which is the only compact A Class.

This year’s show seems to be flooded with the new generation of electric cars and how could Audi not display its innovative cars in this space. Audi will showcase the convertible version of the electric E-tron coupe, which was first seen at the Detroit auto show earlier this year. Other car makers to showcase their versions of EVs include Kia Motors, BMW, Fiat etc. This year Paris is set to witness the biggest ever extravaganza of the latest technology vehicles.

This car carries the tradition of the ‘50s and ‘60s in North America, when such vehicles were brought by the surfers. Such cars are generally big vehicles with bodywork framed with timber. However, the Spark Woody isn’t built of wood like the original woodies but has been covered Di-Noc wood grained vinyl paneling, which maintains the woody effect.

This car has been closely associated with surfing for decades and it was but obvious that the venue to showcase the latest model would be a surfer’s destination. Chevrolet chooses Newqualy, one of the most popular surfing venues and very well known for its surfing culture. Here the Atlantic Ocean and the British Isles meet at perhaps the narrowest peninsula and makes for excellent setting for surfing.

The Spark Woody is the latest in the Art Spark series that was designed by Chevrolet Europe last year. The first of the series was a unique and innovative interpretation by the famous German fashion designer, Smeillinener and it debuted at an art competition organized by Chevrolet in Berlin last year. This car symbolizes the true surfer spirit and manages to re create the surfer cars of the ‘50s and the ‘60s. All the car loving surfers across the globe will be eagerly waiting for this car to be launched.

According to the French Automakers, the DeZir marks a new beginning for a new breed of Renault concept cars. Renault plans to manufacture a series of concept cars which will be largely influenced by the DeZir.

The new designs are primarily based on three key words- simple, warm and sensuous. Although Renault didn’t explain what DeZir exactly referred to, but we assume it stands for desire or desir in French. However, Renault did say that the “Z” stood for Renault’s Z.E series which is a symbol of zero emission vehicles.

Renault has made special efforts to keep the weight of the car to the minimum and for this they have used Kevlar for the body of DeZir. It weights a meager 1,830 pounds. It has been built on a cylindrical steel frame and has a double-wishbone suspension, just like the Megane Trophy race car. The tires are 245/35R21 and has a full under body fairing.

For an electric car, it is surprisingly powerful, emitting 148 horsepower and a torque of 167 pound feet. Renault seems to have come up with a great vehicle and the new design head Laurens van den Acker does make a strong statement with his first design with Renault.

The latest Range Rover 2011 is all set to make its debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show. It maintains its leadership position in the luxury vehicles space. The wonderful mix of limited CO2 emission and enhanced engine performance has created an industry benchmark. With the launch of the super diesel version, it will deliver almost 30mpg, which again is a first in the auto industry.

It features a V8 diesel engine and an 8 speed transmission. Other prominent features are the upgrades in Terrain Response and a fine styling in the exterior that helps it retain its leadership in the SUV segment.

Although it is a very powerful machine it is amazing that it consumes very little fuel and the carbon emission is negligible. Its 4.4 liter engine provides very efficient functioning in any condition. The pickup is also very impressive, reaching 60 mph in a meager 5.9 seconds.

The features include, up gradation of the terrain Response system by the addition of Gradient Acceleration Control and Hill Start Assist. The interior has also been given a lot of modifications. The transmission control has been enhanced and so has been the entertainment system. Other very significant change is the addition of Jupiter grilles and also the side vents in the diesel models. This car is definitely a very strong and yet very sophisticated vehicle.

Continuing the legacy of Range Rovers, this latest model is all set to rule the segment and give car lovers a great and enhanced driving experience.

First revealed in 2008 as a concept, the Land Rover LRX is all set to debut officially at the Paris motor show 2010 this September. Although the company has not yet announced sufficient details, it is heard that they are planning to offer the model in the Land Rover Sport series as a Range Rover.

As per the rumors, it is suggested that Land Rover is likely to utilize the LRX to introduce its latest hybrid powertrain that appeared in the LRX concept as well. Reports suggest that the system is expected to be a plug-in version, capable of offering a range of 20 miles from electricity alone. The system may also pair a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6 and an electric motor. According to privy dealers, the model is going to be the most capable model offered by Land Rover ever.

The LRX concept unveiled back in 2008 at the NAIAS was a bold development. It is a three-door compact size, lightweight and technology focused model. Although smaller than Freelander 2 / LR2, the LRX is still considered as a luxury car. This compact model makes an ideal choice for anyone who desires to experience the versatile capacity of a swift 4×4 incarnated with the Land Rover tag.

The compact aerodynamic drag and lightweight aspect of the LRX helps reduce CO2 emissions and provide great fuel efficiency. The LRX also implements smart power management systems along with various other technologies used in 2006 Land_e concept by Land Rover.
