Backed with a dynamic goodness of ultimate technologies, this car will be up for display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. This car will be an uprated version of 2-0-litre turbo that is already running on roads. This car model will be able to produce 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft torque.

Volkswagen is also thinking to build a Beetle R Cabriolet after the receiving the success of the new Beetle R model. Moreover, the company has also confirmed that it will sell a TDI diesel powered Beetle convertible in North America very soon. This new car is expected to offer significantly more chutzpah to the passengers.

Over 150 exhibitors participated in the Barcelona International Motor Show (2011) and over 55 brands displayed their items in this show. The show was organized at an area of 250,000 sq. km. You will be amazed to know that Barcelona International Motor Show has been taking place in Barcelona since 1919.

Barcelona International Motor Show (2011) was open for general public between May 14^th and May 22^nd, 2011. On the other hand, press and trade days of the show were ay 12^th and 13^th, 2011. It displayed a number of passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and auto parts and accessories.

This auto show was held in the Montjuic Exhibition Centre and it is believed that over a million of visitors visited it.

Created as a muscle model, this car is being designed by Touring Superleggera, the Italian designer. The car was manufactured with the aim of offering more space and comfort to the users. In addition, the noise level of the car is also less while driving. However, the main attraction of the car, which is its high-performance remain unaffected.

As far as design of the car is concerned, the car body is as usual nicely designed with the help of designers from Milan. The doors are designed with German door designer’s gull-wing with such an opening that makes it easy for passenger access. Moreover, the tailgate also opens in butterfly style for wide and trouble-free access.

The car is 4.47 mt. in length and 1.97 in width with a 2.7 mt. wheelbase. The speed limit of the car is stated to be 300 km/h with a 700 hp turbo. Automatic transmission combines the engine with brake system of 378 mm.

The company declared that the car would be available in 2012 with a new engine. However, pricing of the car is not been revealed as yet. 

15th Oman International Motor Show 2010 was in fact the ultimate destination for all car lovers. This motor show had a record number of national pavilions that represented countries like China, India, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, Italy and UAE. This auto expo was first organized by Omanexpo in the year 1990.

This four day event also gave away Classic Car Display Awards to some select winners. This year’s show had a new entry in the form of Invader Technologies Co., Ltd from Japan and Saud Bahwan Group. This whole event was supported by Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

15th Oman International Motor Show 2010 also received many renowned visitors this time. Many automobile makers launched their new car models in this show. Lexus unleashed its all-new 2010 Lexus IS 350C car model. More such models were displayed in this automobile show.

The latest Range Rover 2011 is all set to make its debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show. It maintains its leadership position in the luxury vehicles space. The wonderful mix of limited CO2 emission and enhanced engine performance has created an industry benchmark. With the launch of the super diesel version, it will deliver almost 30mpg, which again is a first in the auto industry.

It features a V8 diesel engine and an 8 speed transmission. Other prominent features are the upgrades in Terrain Response and a fine styling in the exterior that helps it retain its leadership in the SUV segment.

Although it is a very powerful machine it is amazing that it consumes very little fuel and the carbon emission is negligible. Its 4.4 liter engine provides very efficient functioning in any condition. The pickup is also very impressive, reaching 60 mph in a meager 5.9 seconds.

The features include, up gradation of the terrain Response system by the addition of Gradient Acceleration Control and Hill Start Assist. The interior has also been given a lot of modifications. The transmission control has been enhanced and so has been the entertainment system. Other very significant change is the addition of Jupiter grilles and also the side vents in the diesel models. This car is definitely a very strong and yet very sophisticated vehicle.

Continuing the legacy of Range Rovers, this latest model is all set to rule the segment and give car lovers a great and enhanced driving experience.

The latest Mini Countryman from BMW is almost 3 ft longer than the previous one and it is also the tallest model in the entire series. Not many would have expected Hyundai to unveil its latest high end vehicle in a small city of South Korea. This year’s Busan International Motor Show saw the unveiling of one of the most highly awaited cars of recent times, the Hyundai Elantra, also called Avante in South Korea.

To the surprise of many car lovers across the world, Hyundai chose this small port city to showcase one of its best creations. However, it has to be considered that Hyundai has many factories in the adjoining areas, so it wasn’t totally uncalled for. Since, its launch in 1990, Hyundai has sold over 6 million Elantras worldwide. The all new Elantra is Hyundai’s highest volume model and naturally a great car. Elantra already has a legacy and doesn’t need any introduction. The latest Elantra is truly a driver’s delight and has stunning looks to compliment the advanced features. The newly built pavilions would be the center of attraction of the road car displays. The Festival of Speed is the largest car show in the planet and would serve as a fitting platform for manufacturers to unveil their latest productions to the general public. The Festival has gained immense popularity in the recent years and an end to the SMMT show paved the way for this exotic show.

The Moving Motor Show would help in the direct sales of all the brands as it tends to attract affluent showgoers. The Moving Motor Show came about due to the abandonment of the illustrious bi-annual British Motor Show. It is also set to be attended by a large crowd who would have the opportunity to see the latest models of some of the renowned car makers of the industry.

The theme for this year’s Goodwood’s programme is Viva Veloce! Alfa Romeo is expected to put almost 50 cars on display at the show. The Festival of Speed would also mark the 60th year of F1 world championship this year.

The Geneva Auto Show turned out to be a delight for the hybrid car lovers. The illustrious Auto Show saw many automobile giants displaying their newest hybrids. The introduction of these hybrids together with several other announcements has forced one to think whether hybrids have now become the new powerhouse of the automobile industry.

According to the Vice President of Toyota Europea, Andrea Formica, the demand for the hybrid cars has really shot up in recent years with almost 530,000 customers trying their hands on the hybrids. The Auto Show had Porsche unveiling the hybrid version of the company’s sports utility vehicle called the Cayenne S. Automobile leader Toyota also plans to make hybrid available in its each model range by the this decade’s end. 

The response of Prius and some other hybrid among the customers have made the company very optimistic about the business of hybrid cars. It has been observed that mainstream buyers also do not seem to have any problems with the hybrid cars.

Jan Ake Jonsson, the CEO of Saab has a different opinion saying he does not see any increase in the overall sale of the hybrids. According to him, the hybrid cars are comparatively very expensive and are less efficient than the most of the modern cars that run on gasoline and diesel.

The increase in the prices of gas and the strict norms also seem to be the reasons for manufacturers and customers showing their interest in the hybrid cars, which may see a major development in the upcoming years.

First revealed in 2008 as a concept, the Land Rover LRX is all set to debut officially at the Paris motor show 2010 this September. Although the company has not yet announced sufficient details, it is heard that they are planning to offer the model in the Land Rover Sport series as a Range Rover.

As per the rumors, it is suggested that Land Rover is likely to utilize the LRX to introduce its latest hybrid powertrain that appeared in the LRX concept as well. Reports suggest that the system is expected to be a plug-in version, capable of offering a range of 20 miles from electricity alone. The system may also pair a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6 and an electric motor. According to privy dealers, the model is going to be the most capable model offered by Land Rover ever.

The LRX concept unveiled back in 2008 at the NAIAS was a bold development. It is a three-door compact size, lightweight and technology focused model. Although smaller than Freelander 2 / LR2, the LRX is still considered as a luxury car. This compact model makes an ideal choice for anyone who desires to experience the versatile capacity of a swift 4×4 incarnated with the Land Rover tag.

The compact aerodynamic drag and lightweight aspect of the LRX helps reduce CO2 emissions and provide great fuel efficiency. The LRX also implements smart power management systems along with various other technologies used in 2006 Land_e concept by Land Rover.
