This is not all, it is believed that Ford somehow gambled when it overhauled the strong cars like SUV, as a car based crossover, which buyers embraced for the smoother ride and better fuel economy.

Ford Explorer is now counted in one of the fasted selling vehicles in the whole Ford’s lineup with an average of 11 days on dealer lots before they are snapped up. Moreover, some dealers have also reported selling this cool car the moment it is off the loading truck in the showroom, such is the popularity of this car.

In 2010, Ford sold around 60,687 Ford Explorers but by now in 2011, it has already sold 64,000 Ford Explorers around the world. Names Truck of the Year at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Ford Explorer has definitely become the first choice of many buyers giving a tough competition to Chevrolet Traverse, Honda Pilot, Jeep Frand Cherokee and Toyota Highlander.

Though, this concept is not entirely new and has been used by the Opel Meriva, however, this sliding doors give it a different and good look. These read sliding doors also doesn’t possess B-pillar.

The unique opening of the doors gives the car immense width of almost 1.5 meters. Ford also declared that this new model is ready for production. The safety features and functions in this car are assured with the use of boron steel doors, which are of great strength. These boron steel doors can easily absorb the forced impact that is created by accidents. Moreover, the roof of the car, the chassy and the doors are all connected through a system, which keeps them sealed.

Another unique feature of the Ford B-MAX Concept is the Ford Powershift double clutch with automatic transmission.

It is no longer a new concept to use Facebook for promoting brands and products. Ford is also not new to this. The motor giant is using the Facebook Page to unveil its iconic Explorer’s 2011 model. This campaign has been running for quite a while now and there have been several teaser photos as well videos that have been posted so far since Ford announced the launch earlier this year.

Scott Monty, Communication Manager said that the best way to promote the all new Explorer was through as it was a sure shot way of reaching out to its audiences. The first day saw a whopping 53,000 people visiting the Ford Explorer page on Facebook and it exceeded Ford’s expectations.

This is the first time that any car has been unveiled over a social networking site and not an auto show. The main reason behind Ford’s decision to unveil this highly anticipated car in this fashion was that, they wanted the entire focus to be on them and in a regular auto show there are too many cars on display to get this sort of attention. Apart from this, the other reason stated by Ford was that auto shows can at times be a one way communication, whereas on Facebook it is far more interactive.

The Facebook page was primarily used to reveal photos and interviews with engineers and designers before the actual unveiling of the car. This has surely given this car a head start that very few cars have received till day. There are ample chances of this trend to be soon adopted by others too. 

Ford Mondeo is all set to get a face lift for the coming year. Ford, one of the largest car manufacturers recently shared some images of the car, before its worldwide launch later this year (August 25). Ford chose the Auto Show in Moscow to showcase its most popular model and it was strategically chosen as Moscow is a very significant market for Ford.

The latest Ford Mondeo is all set to hit the European market in September, this year. Ford has said that it has added several new features to this new model, both externally as well as internally. The exterior will see many tweaks, which includes new grilles and a brand new bumper in the front, which has LED lights that work even in daylight.

Other prominent feature is the recreated rear lights, which again use LED technology. Even the cabin has been given a new look and a modified door makes it a great vehicle. This latest Mondeo will also feature a satellite navigation system. Other features include a lane departure warning system, a driver alert and an auto high-beam. Ford claims that these features are first timers in any Ford model.

The Mondeo 2011 will feature a high performance 2 liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine that is laced with 237 horsepower. It will also introduce a very powerful 2.2 ltr Duratorg TDCi engine with this model and it will offer 12% more power. Although, Ford gave away many details about the car, it said that it will release the technical details closer to the date of it launch. 

Ford Ranger 2009 claims to be the most fuel efficient, affordable and flexible truck till date. With its 2-3 litre engine, it has the capacity to produce 143 horsepower, torque of 154 pound-feet and offers the highest fuel economy.

Ford Ranger 2009 comes in four series- XL, XLT, Sport and FX4. All the four series boast excellent designs and equipments. Wheels of XL are very standard and stylish. There is a 1-inch air deflector on the lower bumper on the front which reduces dragging and improves the economy of fuel. The fog lamps also provide great visibility and appearance.

Front and rear bumpers in XLT contain body color. It also has a chrome H-bar grille. Whereas, the sports series has a black and horizontal grill. Step bars are available in Sport Super cab trucks but Sport super cab 4×4 and FX4 has skid plates.

Two types of engines can be found in Rangers, one is the DOHC (a 2.3 litre dual-overhead-cam) which is available in XL and XLT 4×2 and the other is the SOHC (4.0 litre single-overhead-cam).

The Ford Ranger 2009 comes equipped with its own personal safety system, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Securilock passive anti theft system. In addition to all the above, it has four wheel anti lock breaks, air bags for driver and passengers in front along with safety belts.

The 2015 Ford Model T concept is an ace model with its unique T concept and design. It features a totally new concept with three travelers in front and a small pick-up bed at the backside. The oval blue design is considered to be the best T model to materialize in 2015. Looks appealing! Isn’t it?
