
Among the many automakers that would showcase their exciting machines in the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show from around the world, Mazda has decided to celebrate the 20th Birthday of MX-5 with the unveiling of the MX-5 superlight. The car has been designed in Oberusel ,Germany at Mazda’s European studios. The car which is rumoured to be a concept does not have door handles, front windscreen and the folding roof which were present in the MX-5. The rear deck of the car has been revised and the bodywork ahs been given a complete new look. There have also been modifications made in terms of its weight and handling ability.

Peugeot is also eyeing the upcoming show to launch their Hybrid4 powertrain. The car which operates on diesel and electricity will be first of its kind. It has been produced keeping in mind the common acceptance of diesel as fuel in Europe. The front wheels of the car would be powered by the diesel engine and the electric motor would power the rear wheels. The CO2 emission of the car is expected to be as low as 99g/km. it is expected to hit the European market in 2011.

The 2011 SLS AMG by Mercedes Benz is apparently going to be the highlight of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car has a 6.2l V8 engine and is expected to notch up a speed of 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The car would be built with a fabric top and is expected to be produced in limited number.
