The organizers of the Dubai Motor Show have confirmed that the prestigious show that would be held from 16th to the 20th of December will feature 13 exclusive global car launches, a record in itself. Apart from this, the show which will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center will also have 40 regional premiers. There will be a great number of models that would make their worldwide debut; among these are the new Mercedes G-Class Edition’79, the Kepler Motors Motion and the Renault GCC Fluence.
Helal Saeed, who is the CEO of the Dubai World Trade Center, expressed his joy at organizing the show and said that hosting a record 13 launches is a testament to the importance of this show to the industry. The experts from Business Monitor International have predicted a huge growth in the market sales of Dubai in 2011. The regional markets are expected to help car manufacturers reap great benefits by supporting growth of premium luxury and fuel-efficient cars. The rate at which the compact cars are growing, it would not be surprising if they displace the SUV segment in near future.
The Dubai Motor Show is expected to have over 200 leading car manufacturers of the world apart from some new exhibitors like Kepler Motors, Mantide and London Taxis International. Some of the most awaited cars include the BMW’s Active Hybrid 7 and the S400 from Mercedes- Benz. The Ultimate Aero manufactured by the Shelby Supercars with a top speed of 439km/h is certainly expected to be among the top launches at the show.
