The leaders of the automobile industry sounded optimistic at the speedier recovery of the global economy as the Dubai International Motor Show ended on a high. One of the largest Motor Shows of the world which came to a close last Sunday had many respected car makers showcasing their brands which included debuts as well as making several regional launches. With the fall of the curtain, Dubai again has proved its position as the regional platform of the global motoring industry.
The Motor Show was held at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre and exhibitors displayed almost all the leading manufactures’ products across its eight halls. The Green initiatives taken up by the automobile giants received a lot of attention at this prestigious show which is held after every two years. The concept of sustainable mobility also seemed to gather much momentum in the Middle East Region. Luxury brands like Rolls-Royce, Mercedes Benz and BMW along with Aston Martin, Bentley and other major brands made their presence felt at the Motor Show. AC cars like Luxgen and Shelby Supercars were also unveiled at the show.
The response and the sustained commitment of the global motor industry made the 10th anniversary of the show very memorable. The show was also marked as the 10th and 20th anniversary of BMW and Lexus respectively. The German manufacturer of the luxury Audi also had many of its latest lightweight models like A5 on display which is a sportsback car is 5-car Coupe concept. The A5 cabriolet and the stunning Audi R8 V10 were among the other cars that were showcased by Audi at the Show this year.
