It’s now known everyone that we will soon get some new electric cars to drive and Tesla Motors Inc. has recently unveiled its newest and lowest cost electric car called Electric Sedan. With this car, Tesla, expands its sedan family of cars. This new car will be produced in the third quarter of 2011.
The new Tesla Sedan S model with four-doors will be available in $49,000 after a U.S. government tax credit for electric vehicles that will be of $7,500. This car model is slated to be produced in Southern California.
Tesla’s Model S price is comparable to $35,000 gasoline powered car like 2010 Ford Taurus after including the cost of refueling. The billionaire founder of PayPal, Musk feels that Model S car is the first highway-ready electric vehicle designed for the audiences that look for an affordable electric vehicle.
It is assumed that with the launch of the new Model S Electric Sedan car, Tesla is planning to achieve the annual car rate of 20,000 in its production. Tesla’s announcement of this car has in a way motivated other carmakers to produce new affordable all-electric vehicles.
