Ford Mondeo is all set to get a face lift for the coming year. Ford, one of the largest car manufacturers recently shared some images of the car, before its worldwide launch later this year (August 25). Ford chose the Auto Show in Moscow to showcase its most popular model and it was strategically chosen as Moscow is a very significant market for Ford.
The latest Ford Mondeo is all set to hit the European market in September, this year. Ford has said that it has added several new features to this new model, both externally as well as internally. The exterior will see many tweaks, which includes new grilles and a brand new bumper in the front, which has LED lights that work even in daylight.
Other prominent feature is the recreated rear lights, which again use LED technology. Even the cabin has been given a new look and a modified door makes it a great vehicle. This latest Mondeo will also feature a satellite navigation system. Other features include a lane departure warning system, a driver alert and an auto high-beam. Ford claims that these features are first timers in any Ford model.
The Mondeo 2011 will feature a high performance 2 liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine that is laced with 237 horsepower. It will also introduce a very powerful 2.2 ltr Duratorg TDCi engine with this model and it will offer 12% more power. Although, Ford gave away many details about the car, it said that it will release the technical details closer to the date of it launch.
