Fioravanti is a transport design company, which is known mainly for its out of the box thinking in the field of automobiles. The company has come up with LF1 concept which it is likely to unveil at the Geneve International Motor Show. The company endeavors to make cars which maintain the supremacy of the Grand Prix at the media global events. The LF1 concept has been designed keeping in view the future regulations of the Formula1. The car has been designed in accordance with the 1.800 cc. turbo engines which were recently proposed for the 2012 regulations.
This concept car has very compact bodywork which boasts a minimal amount of aerodynamic drag and turbulences. The drag of the front wheels has been reduced with the help of the radiators and the intercoolers that have been designed and created with forced air using fans. The rims and the tyres have the dimensions that are similar to the GT cars. They also use brake systems that are found in high performance road cars. Fioravanti car is also eco oriented because of the use of K.E.R.S. which is similar to production cars.
The reduction of the aerodynamic drag turbulences have been made possible by making use of the ground effect in an appropriate manner by getting rid of the wings. The front wing contributes to the down force and reduces the front wheels drag by the help of the side fairings. The wings at the rear generate consistent down force and are incorporated at the bottom of the vehicle. The LF1 concept also uses active suspension, which is seen extensively in production cars.
