The 2010 North American International Auto Show was used as a fitting platform to unveil the latest concept car from Cadillac. Called the XTS Platinum concept, the car seems a possible Cadillac sedan of the future which has all the present technologies.
According to the general manager of Cadillac, Bryan Nesbitt, the concept is the expression of the Art and Science execution philosophy that is so well associated with Cadillac. The concept reflects the automakers’ drive to deliver their new innovations in the most artful manner possible.
The concept has been designed with a vision to achieve new levels of comfort and connectivity. The XTS Platinum measures 5.1 meter in length and provides electric-only driving abilities with its plug-in hybrid system. The battery of this concept takes just five hours to get fully charged. Being a four wheel drive, this concept gets its power from the 3.6 liter Direct Injection V6 engine.
The interior of this concept car from Cadillac seems to be inspired from Nature. The console has a wood finishing and the light cream colour leather seats also magnify the interior’s beauty.
The car has minimum buttons with a touch screen navigation system to avoid any interior clutter. The 11-spoke wheels with a width of 20 inch look stunning in the Bridgestone tyres. The concept was designed with an intention to enhance the driving experience without compromising on the functional features and comfort that a customer looks for in a luxury car. The car uses advanced technology, which promises an efficient and rewarding delivery of the functionality.
