The 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show which is expected to run from the 17th to the 27th of September will have many automakers exhibiting their new models.

Lexus Premium Compact  

Among the cars which are expected to be unveiled at the show, the Lexus Premium Compact needs a special mention. The car has a high belt line and low-slung roof. The style also seems sharp and aggressive. There is a speculation that the car would feature a hybrid powertrain and this is illustrated by the low air access in the front bumper and its highly streamlined styling.

Rolls Royce’s 200EX Ghost performance details announced

In recent years, Rolls-Royce has come up with a myriad of new models and the recent addition to the list of the Phantom lineup is the 200EX. This car would have a V12 engine with 575 lb-ft torque. The 563 hp engine has a capacity f 6.6L and would ensure a stunning performance with speed touching 155mph. However, the ZF-built 8-speed auto transmission is shared with BMW and not unique to Rolls –Royce. Helmut Riedl, who is the Director of Engineering at Rolls Royce, informed that the car had been engineered for graceful composure and advanced power delivery which would ensure a wonderful driving experience.

GM, Ford stocks record big gains

The latest news in the automobile world is that automobile industry giants, GM and Ford stocks record big gains. These recent gains hint to the expectations that investors are showing faith that the automakers like Ford and General Motors will be able to get federal loans.

It was the first time in the last 28 years, when the shares in General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. recorded their biggest single-day gains. On one hand, GMʼs stock gain jumped from $ 1.25 to 35.11 %, i.e. nearly $ 4.81 in the New York Stock Exchange. On the other hand, Ford gained 49 cents or 29.52% in its shares finishing it at $ 2.15.
