2012 Opel Insignia upgrating model year with broader availability

 2012-opel-insignia_1 At the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show that is going to be held between September 15th and 25th, 2011, two new offers will be offered by the German carmaker, Opel. Two new versions of the 2012 Open Insignia will be launched at this event. These two versions are the petrol 1.4 turbo ecoFLEX with 140hp and 200Nm offering a better fuel efficiency.

The second version will be a 2.0-L 4WD that will offer an average consumption of 5.8 liters per 100km and just 134 g/km of CO2. The new 2012 Opel Insignia Tourer will also feature a new transmission that will be combined to the electric power steering. Both these models will also provide a better fuel efficiency due to a six speed manual gearbox and an amazing Stop & Start system.

The model creating division of Industrial Design Consultancy (IDC), called IDC Models, has finished making a sample of a new concept race car. The car was entirely conceptualized by none other than Adrian Newey, one of the world’s top F1 car designers and the Chief Technical Officer of Red Bull Racing Formula One team. Named as Red Bull X1 Prototype, this racing model has a history to it. This car design was featured in GT5, the latest release of Gran Turismo, a popular game of Sony PlayStation.
