Developed by one of the biggest names in the U.S. auto industry, this Chevrolet Sonic is not just a spectacular compact car but also a vehicle that is capable of achieving of flight through a radio controlled remote.

Filled with helium, this new car has been carefully designed to prevent any leakage in order to protect the environment. This flight capable car can carry neutral buoyancy and is formed with very lightweight foam. This flying car has five six cubic meters of helium and is powered by electric engines.

This car is made from carbon fiber and is directly connected to the battery pack along with the control systems for the Sonic.

This time, more than 850,000 people are expected to attend this show to check out the latest car models debuting in the automobile world. Many carmakers are focusing on economical and efficient modes of transportation this time in this show.

Some of the interesting car concepts worth checking out at Frankfurt Auto Show 2011 are BMW i8 Concept that will be fitted with a 223 horsepower three cylinder engine. Then, there will be Opel Astra GTC that is expected to make buyers crazy with its compact size. Hyundai i30 is another five door concept car debuting this time in this show.

In order to develop the beautiful design of Maserati Kubang SUV, the company came inc collaboration with the parent company, Fiat and Chrysler Jeep. From designs to engineering aspects, Maserati Kubang SUV has got inspiration from Fiat and Chrysler Jeep.

Featuring a 4.7 liter V8 engine, Maserati Kubang SUV boasts of an eight speed transmission that has been especially developed by Maserati. This amazing SUV car has been manufactured by the same factory workers who are engaged in producing Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos.

Till now, no specific details of the launch and price of Maserati Kubang SUV have been revealed.

Created as a muscle model, this car is being designed by Touring Superleggera, the Italian designer. The car was manufactured with the aim of offering more space and comfort to the users. In addition, the noise level of the car is also less while driving. However, the main attraction of the car, which is its high-performance remain unaffected.

As far as design of the car is concerned, the car body is as usual nicely designed with the help of designers from Milan. The doors are designed with German door designer’s gull-wing with such an opening that makes it easy for passenger access. Moreover, the tailgate also opens in butterfly style for wide and trouble-free access.

The car is 4.47 mt. in length and 1.97 in width with a 2.7 mt. wheelbase. The speed limit of the car is stated to be 300 km/h with a 700 hp turbo. Automatic transmission combines the engine with brake system of 378 mm.

The company declared that the car would be available in 2012 with a new engine. However, pricing of the car is not been revealed as yet. 

Additionally, the model will be powered by a four-cylinder 2.2-liter diesel engine. The new engine of the Jaguar XF is the same that is in use in the Range Rover Evoque. This engine is expected to deliver around 200 hp. And it guarantees to deliver the best fuel consumption in the XF lineup.

Moreover, Jaguar XF will also have just 150 g/km of CO2 emissions. Owned by Tata Motors, it looks like Jaguar XF wants to follow suit with Audi and Bmw 5-Series that also uses a 2.0-liter diesel engine.

The updated XF is expected to have new headlights with LED technology, reworked front bumper, new taillights and new rear apron amongst others. So, get ready to welcome this updated 2012 Jaguar XF model at the New York Auto Show 2011 and to see a power pack performance car. 

The U.S. 4.2 liter 2011 Audi A8 will be soon available at the dealerships from U.S. also with an 8-speed tipronic gearbox transmission. The outer part of the Audi A8 is uniform and the model represents many innovative technologies and progressive design elements.

Moreover, the new luxury sedan is generously proportioned. The radiator grille of Audi A8 is of single-frame. Audi A8 also displays the newly designed headlights. These headlights have xenon plus units and innovative full LED.

Audi A8 has an adaptive restraint systems and high-stability body with pre sense system. Available in a standard version as well as in three expanded levels, the 2011 Audi A8 is undoubtedly one of the safe cars in the market. 

The price range for the new convertible is fixed at US$ 27,195 for the base 200 Convertible Touring model, whereas the 200 Convertible limited is priced at US$ 31,990. The 200 Convertible S, the third variant of the car is yet not priced and is expected to be priced soon.

The various features of the Chrysler 200 Convertible include improved suspension, modified interior, and use of new sheet metal. Others like the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 and automatic transmission of six-speed along with a base engine of 2.4-liter four-cylinder are interesting enough to attract car enthusiasts in the market.

With so many interesting features and a great look, 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible is sure to have a great opening and a huge market. 

The LA Auto Show was first showcased in the year 1907 with barely 99 cars on display and the venue at that time was the Skating Rink of Morley. Later, with the growth of the Show, the venue also kept changing to accommodate new vendors and their needs.

All this while, the Los Angeles Auto Show saw many ups and downs in their good and bad phases. Over time, the show also changed its name. It was known as the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, which became the LA Auto Show. The dates of the show were moved to its current dates in 2006 from its earlier date of early January. Thereby, year 2006 saw two LA auto shows and also marked their 100-year anniversary in the second show.

The last edition of the show was held between November 19 and November 28, 2010 and received great reviews. The participants of last year included GM, Honda, Maybach, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Smart, Toyota, Volvo, Chevrolet, Ford, Hyundai, and so on.

With similar appearances, the various Mini models look quite comparable. That is why the company has worked on giving the new Paceman Concept a little different look for the upcoming show.

With features that are similar to the latest Mini Cooper model, the Paceman Concept car is quite large and mounted. Moreover, it is based on the Countryman, another new model from the same company.

Other specifications, as far as the concept design of the Paceman is concerned, includes leather cover on the outside door handles as well as on the cover of the gas cap. On the other hand, for the interior design, Mini uses the same features as used in the Countryman car.

Additionally, Paceman also has the rear bucket seats. Even the all-wheel-drive system of the Paceman concept is alike with the Countryman car. As per this feature, the wheel drive is biased towards front wheels but strong enough to put all the power to the rears. The engine of the Paceman Concept car is a 1.6-liter turbocharged based on the John Cooper Works. It has four-cylinder that produces as much as 211 horsepower.

January 10 and 11, 2011 are the two preview days for the 2011 Detroit auto show, whereas public days goes till January 23.

The latest Mini Countryman from BMW is almost 3 ft longer than the previous one and it is also the tallest model in the entire series. The interior has been designed in a way to make it more spacious. Besides, if we compare it with the previous versions, it is much improved. It has 4 individual seats and the back seats can be folded flat, which gives even more space.  It also has the option of a high end audio, navigation systems and the best of all a panoramic roof. Among other features, the most prominent one is the fuel saving options, which include brake energy recuperation, gear change indicator and a start/stop system.

The Countryman manages to carry the legacy of BMW’s Mini in terms of style and quality. By the initial looks it seems to be a great addition and the enthusiasm amongst the car lovers in the expo also augured well for it. The Mini Countryman starts at a price of £17,000.
