The much awaited Mini Countryman from BMW was on display at the Motorexpo in Canary Wharf, London. The Motorexpo, which has witnessed the launch of many fantastic cars by a variety of car manufacturers, once again had the opportunity to showcase one the finest cars from BMW. A true crossover, the Countryman comes with a choice of five engines, two diesel and three petrol engines with power ranging between 89bhp and 181bhp for the different versions.
The latest Mini Countryman from BMW is almost 3 ft longer than the previous one and it is also the tallest model in the entire series. The interior has been designed in a way to make it more spacious. Besides, if we compare it with the previous versions, it is much improved. It has 4 individual seats and the back seats can be folded flat, which gives even more space. It also has the option of a high end audio, navigation systems and the best of all a panoramic roof. Among other features, the most prominent one is the fuel saving options, which include brake energy recuperation, gear change indicator and a start/stop system.
The Countryman manages to carry the legacy of BMW’s Mini in terms of style and quality. Its features definitely will give a great driving experience, not to mention the comfort and strength that is characteristic of BMW. By the initial looks it seems to be a great addition and the enthusiasm amongst the car lovers in the expo also augured well for it. The Mini Countryman starts at a price of £17,000.
